Currently at work recording his first solo CD, DePiano's recordings
will feature original compositions and solo guitar transcriptions of
Brazilian composers Antonio Carlos Jobim, Luis Bonfa and Baden Powell.

Following his graduation from Plymouth State College (Plymouth, NH)
in 1998, DePiano was awarded with a scholarship to perform and study
abroad with the SESSIONE SENESE PER LA MUSCIA (SSMA) touring group.
Based in Siena, Italy, the SSMA toured through Italy and Switzerland
performing in cities such as Siena, Andermatt, Lucerna, and Pienza.
DePiano was routinely featured playing solos, duets and in small chamber
ensembles.
After moving to Los Angeles in 1999, DePiano continued to perform throughout
the United States as a soloist and with the rock band Mother Jones (www.motherjonesband.com).
In 2004 DePiano was a guest performer with the Danza Floricanto, during
their 25th anniversary program at California State University in Los
Angeles. During the event which was performed at the Harriet & Charles
Luckman Fine Arts Complex, he played in the world premier piece Los
Concheros, composed by Gerardo Tamez.
Since departing from Los Angeles in 2005 to complete a Masters Degree
in Education, DePiano has relocated to Cleveland, Ohio. Today he continues
to perform and teach throughout the Cleveland metro area.
